This Cat Doesn’t Care

Wednesday, November 16th, 2011

And neither do any other cats. Just like the rest of them, this cat doesn’t give a shit. “Want to play with your train set? Get a dog. I’m not moving out the of the way so you can drive your stupid train around. Get out of here.” Man, cats are the worst.

Happy Birthday to the MBTA

Tuesday, September 1st, 2009

The worst most horrible excuse for a public transportation system in America.  Here is a fun excerpt from the Globe wishing our subway a happy birthday:

Boston Globe Well, well, Boston subway, you don’t look a day over 111. But another special day has indeed arrived, like an extra Green Line leaving Fenway. America’s oldest subway system, now run by the MBTA, turns 112 today.

The first underground ride took place on Sept. 1. 1897 — between Boylston and Park Street stations. About 100 people were aboard and, according to Globe accounts from the time, cheered wildly when they descended. It must have been running on time that day.

The comments are definitely the best part of the article though, so make sure to read through.

So Gross.

Thanks to Katie for having too much free time at work and putting this grossness together for all the web to see.

BEWARE OF THE INTERWEBS!

Thursday, February 12th, 2009

The internet is a very, very dangerous place. The safest thing to do is probably keep your computer turned off and unplugged completely, but then how would you go on facebook, download pornography and watch youtube videos of cats on Roombas? I know those are the only things the internet is useful for, and though limited in functionality, those three things it provides are integral parts of all people’s lives. Thankfully, today the Boston Globe published an article on how to safeguard your computer from internet crooks like the one who nearly swindled Mikey through Mary’s facebook account the other day.

Some useful excerpts from the article in case you don’t have time to read it all yourself (though I highly recommend you do, for you, your family and friend’s safety):

“Once it’s powered up and linked to the Internet, crooks from around the world go to work.”

“Which reminds me – never install software from the Internet…”

Perusing your website, I couldn’t help but notice your quick declaration of KJ’s “worst Christmas gift ever”. I’m afraid I have to challenge.

Fact: today’s office secret santa exchange netted me a 6oz can of “Always Save” chunk light tuna.

Game over. To all a good night.
