Wonn sent me this article today, about canine lifeguards in Italy. In three years of training the dogs can reach “expert rescue status” which sounds pretty bad ass. The only thing I didn’t appreciate was the guy being quoted comparing the dogs to an “intelligent buoy.” I’m pretty sure human lifeguards wouldn’t appreciate being called an intelligent buoy.
